Review Perform This

Why should you write a review?

Reviews are important in a students’ decision making as they will be able to get honest feedback from others about the schools and decide which school is right for them. It gives you an opportunity to write what you honestly feel about the school and provide useful, constructive feedback for others and could even lead to a change in the school!

How to write a good review:

  • Be detailed and honest
  • Give others details of your experience at the school, what you liked and what you disliked. You don’t need to write a whole essay, but just writing ‘good’ isn’t informative to anyone. The more specific you are, the better your review will be. Think about what you wanted to know when you were looking at schools.

  • Use complete sentences
  • Your review will mean much more if you use complete sentences rather than short 2-word reviews that don’t inform the reader of anything specific and are not helpful. Using descriptive words also helps students find out more about the school.

  • Be honest
  • It’s very possible that you have both good and bad things to say so don’t be afraid to say both. Don’t exaggerate or stretch the truth; just be honest and say exactly how you feel. If you are leaving a bad review, do not include bad language or offensive material towards anyone.

  • Say who you are
  • Along with your experience, people will want to know who you are so they can decide whether to trust your review or not. Are you a student at the schools now or are you someone who visited? Make sure you include this so potential students are aware.

  • Make sure you review the school out of 5 stars
  • This is a quick way for students to look at your review and get an impression of whether it’s good or bad.

  • Check it before you publish it
  • Check you’re happy with it, it has no spelling errors and it’s readable. People will be more likely to trust your review if it’s easy to read. Ask yourself if it will help people thinking of going to that school.
