Robert Hamilton

Robert trained at Bird College of Dance & Performance in London. Robert was born in Glasgow and became interested in dance at a very early age. He worked within the British Association of Teachers of Dance examinations and at 17 achieved Read More his Association status. Robert obtained one of two full scholarships awarded each year to train at Bird College in London. He was support by the scholarship scheme for three years, which enabled him to obtain qualifications of the highest calibre from R.A.D. and I.S.T.D.

Robert founded Dancepoint in 2000 to provide dynamic dance, theatrel and performance training for young dancers. He has gone onto create one of Scotland’s most successful dance schools and choreograph a number of hugely prolific dance acts, featuring in the finals of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent and Sky’s Got To Dance including The Box, Fear of the Unknown, Dance Illusion and most recently BBC’s The Greatest Dancer.

In 2018, Dancepoint expanded to include full-time training with the creation of Dancepoint College and in 2021 the college re-branded to become Hamilton Theatre Arts to reflect it’s expanded portfolio of courses. Read Less
